As spring unfolds in front of us, our families start thinking ahead to summer vacation. The school year is growing short, and the kids want to plan something special for summer. This year you should plan something they’ll always remember. How about some time by the beach?

Showcase of a Beautiful Escape Destination

Back in March of 2012, we welcomed an amazing new estate to our collection of properties. While each of our properties brings something special for our guests, this one coupled great luxury with an amazing space. It’s one of our largest properties with 6700 square feet and a soaring 35 foot ceiling in the great room. The expansive floorplan stretches out with 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are master suites, so this property is tailor made for larger groups, families, or multiple families.
The property features a theater room with two level seating and a 10 foot (diameter) viewing screen for your enjoyment. Grab some of your favorite DVD’s and enjoy a weekend binge watching some great movies. You’ll also enjoy spending some time shooting a friendly game of pool, or declare a “Vegas Night” as you gather around the full size poker table for some serious competition and penny ante stakes.
The gourmet kitchen offers a great opportunity for you to indulge your inner Wolfgang Puck. Cook up something amazing for the family, and relax in front of the fireplace before you enjoy some dessert. The view out the wall of windows is amazing as you allow your eye to follow up to the full 35 foot height above the fireplace. Later, you may all want to file out to the deck and enjoy the view as you warm up with cups of steaming hot chocolate. This time of year is always filled with contradictions. Spring arrives, and brings bursts of color and fragrance all around us. At about the same time, the IRS reminds us of the cost to live in a free society, and we either celebrate a tax refund or moan about taxes due. We sincerely hope you’re part of the former. But whether you owe or are owed, there’s plenty to celebrate this time of year. Pull your head out of the tax forms for a minute and drink in the beauty that surrounds you as spring blooms.

The Big Bear Zoo is a great destination for the entire family as well. The zoo was started over 50 years ago in the aftermath of a huge forest fire. Injured and homeless animals were collected, nursed back to health, and released back into the wild. The zoo’s first permanent residents were animals too severely injured to return to the forest . Today the zoo offers daily programs to let visitors participate in feeding animals and learn more about what’s involved keeping animals healthy and happy at the zoo.
