June In Big Bear

We realize that spring has just arrived, but already our thoughts move toward the horizon and the summer months. The kids are moaning about finals at school, and we realize the it’ll be a very short time before the long summer break is upon us. Don’t let it slip away again this year. June is a great month in Big Bear. The weather is just amazing and there are so many things you can do. The Bear Mountain golf course is open, so you can load up your clubs and marvel at just how far you can drive a ball through the mountain air atop Big Bear. The 9 hole course is perfect for an early getaway. Grab a morning tee time, and you can be back with the family in time for lunch later. After lunch, there’s still time to grab a boat and go out on the lake fishing or go for a leisurely hike on one of the great hiking trails in Big Bear. And that’s just day one. Big Bear’s annual summer wine walk takes place on Saturday, June 6 this year. This is one of our favorites. Starting at about 3:00 in the afternoon, local merchants in the Village will offer guests a wide variety of wines from around the world. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about fine wines while you enjoy visiting the many participating shops in the Village. One of the best parts of our job is that we get to be involved with important moments in the lives of our guests. We’ve been part of anniversaries, family reunions, weddings, and honeymoons. The skis have been packed away again for the season. We’re enjoying the arrival of spring and the fresh colors it brings. Hit the ski resorts without the skis.
