La Quinta’s proximity to Palm Springs makes this a great destination for the non-golfers as well. The shopping and night life in Palm Springs is great, and for a bigger adventure, plan a day trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and enjoy lunch and an amazing view in the cool air at the top.

Are you getting a tax refund this year? We’ve got a great idea how to use it. What better way to celebrate your hard work than taking a well-deserved getaway with your friends or family? And what better place than in a Five Star Vacation Rental luxury cabin in Big Bear?
March and April are perfect months for heading to Big Bear. The ski season is winding down, but there’s still plenty of great things to fill your time. Or you can turn off your cell phone, grab a couple of books you’ve been neglecting for a while, and enjoy some of the most relaxing quiet time you’re likely to find. Just prop yourself up where you can soak in the warmth of the fireplace, stop occasionally for a good meal, lather, rinse, repeat. It’s a recipe for recharging your batteries and getting a fresh perspective on life.
If you want to supplement your stay with some great fun, we recommend you head over to the Big Bear Convention Center for some good old fashioned line dancing. Wyatt’s Grill and Saloon at the Convention Center offers a full slate of line dancing opportunities. Wednesdays you’ll enjoy live music with free line dancing classes, and then on Fridays and Saturdays you can put into practice your new steps with their line dance extravaganzas. The music is great, and it’s the one place where you’re likely to step on somebody’s toes and laugh about it. Visit their website for more details. Cowboy boots and hats are optional, but will certainly add to experience.
If you want to make part of your relaxation spending some time in the kitchen, you’re going to love spending some time at the Tuesday Farmer’s Market at the Convention Center. The Farmer’s Market’s season opens the first Tuesday in April, and is a great resource for locally-grown fruits and vegetables. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as creating a culinary masterpiece for your family knowing the ingredients were purchased fresh and local. The market is open from 8:00am to 1:30pm each Tuesday starting on April 3rd.
